The traits that make up a good leader can vary significantly depending on the team, organisation, manager and work environment. Leadership thus becomes one of those amorphous terms that you hear about all the time but in a variety of definitions that all mean something similar or different , depending on the style that a leader chooses to utilise.

Every leader has a particular style of leadership that is innate. However, the behaviours, attitudes or methods of delivery that are effective for one staff member may in fact be counterproductive for another

Great leaders are aware of their own style and make the effort to learn how their style actually comes across to their team. They learn to flex their leadership style to individual team members so that they communicate and behave in ways that motivates, inspires and creates a culture that sets out to work through people in order to achieve set outcomes and key deliverables.
